The Effects of AI in Groceries and Food delivery

Meituan is a delivery service in China that uses robots to send out groceries and other food products to customers when ordered, this reduces human contact. The robot is disinfected multiple times per day which reduces possible virus transmission.

Baidu is an internet company in China, specialising in artificial intelligence and they have developed robots that deliver food for hospital staff every morning. The delivery robot is able to deliver 50 lunch sets per round without any human contact.

The Foodom robot is a food truck without any humans inside. It can make 120 servings of clay pot rice per hour. These robots are responsible for feeding the medical staff in Wuhan quarantine facility. You collect your meals by scanning the code, thus reducing human interaction.
